We purchased our 9th property in December 2021 for £62,000 for cash at auction. The home report was £85,000.
This two-bed, ground floor flat was purchased outside of auction after we had watched it fail to sell three times. We cheekily made an offer that was well below the guide price and that allowed ourselves a little wiggle room, as ultimately, we were pushed up slightly until everyone was happy to proceed. As per the auction terms, this was a 28-day purchase with a 10% deposit and an upfront auction fee.
The funny thing about this property is that the former owners never even mentioned to the tenants, or even the letting agent, that they were selling. The first they knew, was when we contacted them to get the contract updated.
We’ve seen pictures of this one but never been inside.
Refinanced at £90,000 after 6 months – All money out without lifting a finger!
